Yellowstone National Park. It never gets old to me… especially the “hot pots” and steaming earth. It’s pretty amazing to see, and good to remember how lucky we are to live near such a unique place.

Below are some more classic images from the Park. We stood in the rain for about half an hour to see Old Faithful erupt. I’m spoiled from growing up near Yellowstone, but my husband had never been there so even though it was cold – it was a lot of fun. I especially enjoy hearing tourists instruct each other on geo-thermal activity and question whether or not the timely eruption is a hoax. Ha!
The buffalo (bison) was holding up traffic while he munched on the tree. That was pretty neat actually – because he also scratched it up with his horns and we had just been wondering which animal had been wrecking all the pines along the road.
