After a few weeks of mostly mobile photography, I finally got out my Canon 5D for some shooting around, and I finally have a recently repaired laptop to edit those photos.
Some friends and family took a break from the Christmas festivities to go on a little photo walk. Because we were already on the east side of Lake Washington, we decided to take photos around downtown Bellevue and try to capture some of the unusual emptiness on Christmas day. Bellevue is known for it’s high-end shopping, shiny new buildings, high-tech businesses, and it’s extreme (and bizarre, to those of us on the West Side) cleanliness. These qualities made the emptiness of downtown Bellevue even more obvious and interesting.
These photos were shot with the Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens on the Canon 5D and edited with VSCO Film 04 on Lightroom 4. Stay tuned this week for a post on a portrait session I did earlier this year!
