unMonday: frosty pines

I was in north-eastern Washington over Thanksgiving, and the chilly weather assisted in some great photos. My daily photo challenge also helped get me to pick up my camera and head out regardless of frozen fingers… and man, was I glad I did. The frost on the pine trees there in the mountains was unlike anything I’d seen before. This area is near a large river, and I think the moisture in the air really helped these cool formations attach to each individual pine needle.
